Hamplin, a fabric that improves with age
As robust as canvas, Hamplin is a high-density woven poplin with a dry hand feel. Its name is derived from this combination of hampu (canvas in Japanese) and poplin. The small knots that appear here and there are characteristic of this rustic, irregular yarn. Lightweight to wear, this fabric gains character with every wear and wash.
Featuring a small yoke inspired by denim jeans and darts at the hips to create a rounded silhouette, the Nîmes trousers draw inspiration from vintage French workwear.
