Donkey Boiled Bolero
Inspired by Chitose felting
In the past, the yarn used for Chitose felting was spun in a cacophony of machines. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to make it today. Yet, we remain attached to the irregularities of this yarn, similar to those of hand-spun yarn, as well as the depth of its colors. It is in this spirit that we spun a new yarn, then made a rustic garment that highlights the natural edges of the knit.
This wool is light and warm, and will develop a beautiful patina over time. The bolero reveals all the softness of Donkey-kun: we chose to use the wrong side of the knit as the right side, because its delicate patterns gradually reveal themselves. Panels were added to allow wearing several layers underneath.
Dry clean only.
